Bundesliga: Numerous debuts in Seattle: BVB wins effortlessly

Borussia Dortmund won the first test match of the preparation with 3:1 against MLS club Seattle Sounders on the US trip.

The game started a bit sluggish, the BVB did not find the right rhythm. Immanuel Pherai missed the first good opportunity, Paco Alcacer failed against the opposing goalkeeper. The Spaniard showed himself to be alert, dynamic and one of the pivotal points in Borussia’s game.

The first goal, however, was scored by Marius Wolf, who scored in the 36th minute of 25 meters centrally outside the penalty area for the lead. Shortly after the restart it was Alcacer (50th) who extended the lead with his goal. Seattle reduced the score to 1-2 by Jonathan Campbell just five minutes later.

With numerous changes, the game lost its balance after about 60 minutes. Lucien Favre played Mats Hummels, Julian Brandt, Thorgan Hazard, Jadon Sancho and Marco Reus among others. In the 77th minute, Sancho laid down a solo on five opponents and scored from the edge of the penalty area to 3-1.
