Lewandowski needs surgery.

Bayern goal scorer Robert Lewandowski has to undergo a last operation. When, however, is still unclear.

Robert Lewandowski (31) has scored one goal after the other on the pitch, 14 in ten Bundesliga matches, five in the Champions League and two in Piraeus. But the FC Bayern goalscorer is plagued by pain in his groin. That’s why an operation is now on the agenda. A net is to be inserted into the bar. The break for Lewandowski will last ten days.

As Lewandowski lets us know, the date for the operation has not yet been set. One possibility would be the upcoming international break, i.e. after 9 November, or the winter break.

Poland have said that, in consultation with Poland’s national coach Jerzy Brzeczek, the decision is up to the player. Poland is already qualified for the European Championship 2020 as the leader of Group G (19 points). The last two matches are against Israel (16 November) and Slovenia (19 November).

A glance at the statistics shows how indispensable Lewandowski is for Bavaria at the moment: every 62 minutes the Pole scores in the Bundesliga, and he has scored five goals in three games in the Champions League. In the DFB Cup, he was also successful in the first round of the 3-1 success in Cottbus. Bavaria’s 2-1 win in Bochum is the only compulsory match of the Munich team to date in which Lewandowski has not scored at least once this season.FB Cup victory.
