Barca-Star booed by own fans

Philippe Coutinho was blown off Saturday night by FC Barcelona fans at Camp Nou in a match against Real Sociedad of San Sebastian. The reason for this is probably his goal jubilation in last week’s quarter-final victory in the Champions League against Manchester United.

After his 3-0 goal against the Red Devils, he put his fingers in his ears and left plenty of room for interpretation.

The Barcelona fans had apparently taken this as a returnee for the criticism that Coutinho had harvested with his performances in the previous weeks.

The result was a clearly audible whistle when the 135 million euro purchase was replaced after 72 minutes in a 2-1 win over Real Sociedad on Saturday evening.

Coutinho scored 48 times for the Catalans in the current season and scored eleven goals. But the last time he came was often from the bank.
