Series A: Sarri calls Juve transfers "embarrassing."

The new Juventus head coach Maurizio Sarri has described his club’s transfer policy as “embarrassing” after having to start the new season with a team that is too big.

“We still have six players to remove from our Champions League squad. If we don’t, the choices we have to make are crazy,” said the 60-year-old after the lost test match against Atletico Madrid.

He added: “The last 20 days on the market will be difficult for all of us. It’s a difficult, embarrassing situation because we risk removing top players from the squad. It’s a situation we have to solve, and it’s not necessarily linked to the choice of coach or club.”

The Old Ladies squad currently has 28 players under contract. In addition to Paulo Dybala, whose move to Tottenham Hotspur on Deadline Day probably failed due to image rights, Mario Mandzukic, Gonzalo Higuain, Sami Khedira, Mattia Perin and ex-Schalke Marko Pjaca are allegedly up for sale.
