A series of defeats in 2014 prevented German international Toni Kroos from moving from Bayern Munich to England’s record champions Manchester United. Kroos had already agreed on a change with the then United team manager David Moyes, then the Scotsman was dismissed after some failures.
“In the end, we parted so much that we did it. So we agreed orally,” Kroos said in GQ Gentlemen’s Quarterly about a meeting with Moyes.
After winning the World Championship title, Kroos then moved to the Spanish record champion Real Madrid and won the Champions League three times in a row with the royals (2016 to 2018). “I wouldn’t have won the Champions League three times with Manchester United,” Kroos said.
