In winter, Nabil Bentaleb left FC Schalke 04 to join Newcastle United on loan. At the Bundesliga club, the Algerian had been sorted out as a result of numerous misconduct. However, the midfielder is also clearly struggling on the island.
As the tabloid ‘The Sun’ revealed, Bentaleb was recently involved in a dispute with fans. They had confronted the ex-president and his team-mates Danny Rose, Allan Saint-Maximin and Christian Atsu on the train on the way back from the away game at Arsenal FC (4-0).
The members of the Toon Army – as Newcastle’s supporters call themselves – confronted the professionals and demanded an explanation for their poor performance in London. Bentaleb tried to appease the frustrated fans, but had little success.
