FC Arsenal signed Pablo Marí

Arsenal FC are borrowing Spanish defender Pablo Marí until the end of the season, according to the English Premier League tenth-placed team.

The 26-year-old Marí comes from Brazilian club Flamengo Rio de Janeiro, for whom he played 22 games last season and with whom he won both the championship and the Copa Libertadores. Arsenal has a buy option this summer. According to the club, only final formalities need to be clarified before the loan is finally fixed. Prior to his brief stint with Flamengo, where Marí only joined the club in July last year, he was under contract to English football champions Manchester City from 2016 to 2019, where Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta was until recently co-coached by Pep Guardiola.
