Bundesliga: "Revenge": Union players annoy Tim Walter

During their promotion party at the Alte Försterei on Wednesday evening, the players of Bundesliga rising stars Union Berlin tried to call Tim Walter via Facetime to return the favor for a statement by the future coach of VfB Stuttgart.

After Walter had lost with Holstein Kiel at the beginning of March on the 24th matchday in front of his home crowd 0:2 against the later promoted team, he described Union as a team “that is not interested in football”.

After the successful relegation against Walter’s new employer (2:2, 0:0), a small return carriage for Walter’s omissions should now follow on stage.

As pictures from the Berlin celebrations show, midfielder Manuel Schmiedebach tried to call Walter with a mobile phone in one hand and a microphone in the other.

He didn’t take the call, but Schmiedebach told the fans at the Alte Försterei what he had to say to the Willig successor: “Here are the ones who can’t play football, but who have risen anyway!
