80 million is not enough: City rebuffed FC Bayern for Sane

Bundesliga: 80 million is not enough: City rebuffed FC Bayern for Sane

FC Bayern has apparently received a first damper in its bid for Leroy Sane. As the Guardian reported on Thursday, Manchester City rejected the German record champion’s first offer of 80 million euros for Sane.

According to the British daily, those responsible at FC Bayern should now think about an improved offer.

Karl-Heinz Rummenigge and Uli Hoeneß had recently confirmed their interest in the German international, but were cautious about the likelihood of a transfer.

“We’ll try. I cannot promise whether it will succeed,” CEO Rummenigge told Bild. “I do not yet have exact figures, but I think that the financial framework will be very difficult,” Hoeneß added to the sports picture.

City coach Pep Guuardiola should continue to be willing to let the winger pull, contrary to his public statements that he would like Sane’s contract to be extended. The Sane Treaty of Manchester runs until 2021.

Sane himself is said to be dissatisfied with the dwindling deployment times at the end of last season and to be considering a farewell to the Cityzens. In the last five Premier League games and the FA Cup final, he has been on the bench, as well as in the important Champions League matches against Tottenham in the quarter-finals.

Sane switched to Citizens in the summer of 2016 for 50.5 million euros. Even then, the German record champion wanted to sign the jewel from the Schalk squire forge, but Sane decided to switch to Pep Guardiola, who had called him personally at the time.
