Bundesliga: James allegedly wants to leave Bavaria

James Rodriguez apparently wants to leave FC Bayern Munich this summer. The loan from Real Madrid is said to have made a decision about its own future.

Sky reports that the Colombian has decided to leave FC Bayern. James did not see his future in Munich and had already informed those responsible of this internally.

However, it has not yet been decided whether the Munich-based company will nevertheless activate its purchase option. The pay TV channel and the sports picture agree on this point. According to this, a decision by the FC Bayern management will only be made after the cup final on Saturday against RB Leipzig (8 p.m. in LIVETICKER).

According to the Sky report, player consultant Jorge Mendes is already looking for potential customers for his client. The fact that the Bavarians are pulling the 42 million euro purchase option and then selling James profitably has always been ruled out by the sporting leadership.

27-year-old James was loaned by Real Madrid to Bavaria for two years in the summer of 2017. While he played 39 games in his first season under Carlo Ancelotti, his performances under Niko Kovac were rather changeable. Also due to injuries he has only played 28 games so far. In the Bundesliga he played just three times over the full distance.
