Sports Director Max Eberl with an insight into what is happening in the Gladbach quarantine area and in the days leading up to the restart. According to Eberl, the short formula for the time in the quarantine quarters is “eating, drinking, sleeping, training”. This actually sounds like the familiar and usual daily routine during a training camp, but with the difference that the Borussians do not get fit either at Tegernsee (summer) or in Jerez de la Frontera (winter), but in their home Borussia-Park. On Monday, they moved into their own four-star hotel, which is leased to H-Hotels AG. Prior to this, the team, trainer and support team had gone through the fourth series of tests on COVID-19: “We got a complete floor. There, all safety precautions of the DFL concept can be optimally observed, we are completely alone in the corridor,” emphasizes Eberl. Every player would of course have “a single room”, the sports director continues: “The distance rule is currently the golden rule for us, and we all adhere to it.
