Niko Kovac receives reinforcements from England: Danny Röhl joins the coaching staff of the German soccer record champion Bayern Munich with immediate effect, where he assumes the position of “Co-Trainers Analysis”.
The 30-year-old comes from the English Premier League club FC Southampton.
In Southampton Röhl was assistant to team manager Ralph Hasenhüttl, with whom he had previously worked at RB Leipzig. His contract lasted until 2021.
Born in Zwickau, he had started as a U16 coach in Leipzig, where he rose from video analyst to co-coach. “Everyone at Southampton thanks Danny for his work for the club, we wish him all the best for the future,” the Saints said.
