Bavaria announces James diagnosis

Record champion Bayern Munich is threatened by the loss of midfielder James for the upcoming home game against Hannover 96.

According to the club, the 27-year-old had contracted a “neurogenic muscle hardening” in the match at 1 FC Nürnberg on Sunday (1:1) and could therefore not train for the next few days.

But the Bavarians expected that the Colombian would “probably be available again soon”.

James had been substituted in the derby in Nuremberg in the 56th minute, but had to leave the pitch just under a quarter of an hour later.

Former World Champion Jerome Boateng (30), who had received a knee bruise in the final training session before the Franconian match and was therefore not in the squad, completed an individual training session on Monday.
