Make Jovic the world’s best player

Bundesliga: Kovac: Make Jovic the world's best player

Niko Kovac has promised Milan Jovic to make his son Luka the best player in the world at Eintracht Frankfurt. Even though the coach was attracted to FC Bayern Munich a little later, the Jovic father is still grateful for his work.

“Give me your son and I will make him the best player in the world,” Kovac is said to have told Milan Jovic how he told the picture. In the 2017/18 season, the player’s father sought a dialogue with the then Eintracht coach because his son was only used sparingly.

Kovac is said to have said, “I’m just trying to provoke him. He can be mad at me, think what he wants about me. I want to take him to the limit with my provocative nature, so that he knows that he is not only there to play beautifully, that he has to put himself at the service of the team.”

The conversation created confidence in the Jovic family and the young player became an important part of the team throughout the season. “He owes Kovac a lot. He washed his head,” said Milan Jovic.

Kovac thus laid the foundation stone for the rapid rise of the Serbian striker, who will now be the focus of various top clubs. It might have received fine polish also from Adi Hütter. Under the current Frankfurt coach, Jovic scores 25 goals in 43 games of the current season.
