“Scandal”: Competition against Real Madrid

Published on

Real Madrid’s arch rivals FC Barcelona and half the Spanish football league have a preference for the Primera División’s league leader by the VAR. Barcelona boss Josep Bartomeu complained after Madrid’s 1-0 victory on Sunday at Athletic Bilbao.

As on the previous day against FC Getafe, the team of international player Toni Kroos prevailed only thanks to a controversial penalty. And in both cases, the opponents of the royals complained of an unpaid penalty.

“Another scandal”, the Catalan newspaper “Sport” titled. Bilbao veteran Iker Muniain hit the same notch after losing his team: “We see the tendency of the last days of the game and which team always gets the penalties.”
