Football team player Valentino Lazaro is eagerly awaiting his first appearances for Inter Milan. “The first impression is fantastic, I am very happy to be here,” the Graz native told the club’s own TV station.
He spoke to coach Antonio Conte about ten days ago. “He told me exactly what he expected from me, and that was one of the reasons I came here.”
According to Italian media reports, Lazaro will be the right-hander in a 3-5-2 system that Conte preferred to use at his previous stations. “I think I can learn a lot from him,” said the 23-year-old about his new coach.
He’d been following Serie A since he was a little kid. “I know it’s a tough league, but I’m happy to start this adventure and be in such a big club like this.”
Austria’s champion should also be pleased with Lazaro’s move from Hertha BSC to Milan. Red Bull Salzburg is to collect part of the transfer fee paid by the Italians. According to the “Salzburger Nachrichten” (Tuesday), four of the 22 million euros reported go to Salzburg.
