Sampdoria Genoa are preparing themselves for a possible departure of coach Marco Giampaolo and are said to have Domenico Tedesco as a possible successor. This is what the Italian newspaper Il Secolo XIX reports.
Tedesco had been dismissed from FC Schalke 04 at the beginning of March after losing 7-0 in the Champions League at Manchester City. Since then, the 33-year-old has been without a club.
According to the report, Giampaolo is dissatisfied with the club’s investment in the squad and is said to have threatened to leave early, even though his contract in Genoa runs until 2020.
In addition to Tedesco, Stefano Pioli and Roberto De Zerbi are also traded as Giampaolo successors at Sampdoria.
