According to Italian media reports, the man who mocked the victims of the Superga accident at the 1-1 draw between Juventus and FC Turin on Saturday was identified and sentenced to five years’ stadium ban.
A video showing the man imitating the wings of an airplane with his arms outstretched was distributed in the social media at the weekend.
70 years ago, on 4 May 1949, 31 people, including 18 players from ‘Il Grande Torino’, had died when the plane first touched the famous Superga pilgrimage church and then crashed on Turin’s Stadtberg.
