Stadium bans for Lazio ultras

Published on

The rolling out of a provocative banner has first consequences for nine Ultras of Lazio Rome. Fans were banned from stadiums for between one and five years, according to Milan police chief Sergio Bracco on Thursday.

The Ultras had shown a banner with the words “Honor for Mussolini” before the semi-final return match in the Italian Cup at AC Milan (1:0) and were later clearly identified.

Because of “glorification of fascism” the affected persons must announce themselves now for the duration of their block before each Lazio play, all the same whether at home or abroad, to the police and afford their signature. The behavior was also reported and could have further consequences for the Ultras beyond this police measure, up to three years in prison are possible.
