Sarri to Juventus – Lampard to Chelsea?

Series A: Sarri to Juventus - Lampard to Chelsea?

Maurizio Sarri could succeed Massimiliano Allegri at Juventus. Meanwhile Frank Lampard would probably take over the role as coach of FC Chelsea.

Several Italian media, including the Corriere dello Sport, report on Tuesday that Juventus is pushing Sarri’s commitment. The current coach of the Blues will come to Turin after the final of the Europa League.

The Italian master had recently parted company with Allegri. Sarri is controversial in London. Sky Sport Italia announced late Monday evening that the Italian could be replaced by Lampard at the end of the season. The ex-pro would use it to celebrate his return to Chelsea.

Lampard celebrated a successful debut season as coach in England’s second division and secured Derby County’s participation in the playoffs for promotion to the Premier League. Currently, however, the 40-year-old is still under contract until 2021. The same goes for Sarri.

The 60-year-old Italian came to London from SSC Naples in the summer of 2018 and scored an average of 2.06 points per game. In the league he fell far behind the competition: 25 points were missing on Liverpool, 26 on the later champion Manchester City.
