Serie A: Salzburg makes a lot of money with the Lazaro deal

Yesterday the change from Valentino Lazaro to Inter Milan took place for 22 million Euros. Red Bull Salzburg also takes a fair share of the cash.

After two years in Berlin, the Styrian is now moving to the traditional club Inter Milan in Serie A, where he will play the right wing under Antonio Conte. Lazaro himself says in a Krone interview: “The whole package that has been put together is a madness. If you look at the history of this club, then Inter Milan is anything but a club, with a high standing in Italy and all over Europe. All this is madness for me, not self-evident.”

Lazaro joined Hertha BSC on loan in 2017, before being hired by 7 million euros a few months later. There he was able to attract the interest of international top clubs with his strong performances. With 22 million euros, he is setting a new record for transfer for Hertha BSC. About the transfer fee itself, Lazaro says: “To be honest, you can hold your breath for a moment. But in football in general, it’s getting more and more, more and more expensive.”

As the SN reports, Red Bull Salzburg is also benefiting from the deal and is allegedly collecting four million euros on the basis of clauses.
