Matthew: CR7 wants James at Juve

Ex-world footballer Lothar Matthäus chatted out of the sewing box: He claims to have learned that Juventus Turins superstar Cristiano Ronaldo is courting ex-Bavarian midfielder James Rodriguez.

James told him in a conversation on the sidelines of the Munich championship that his former Real player would like to see him at Juventus.

“He’s very close to Ronaldo. I know it, and he told me. Ronaldo is in contact with him and wants James to come to Juventus,” Matthäus writes in the Spanish sports newspaper As.

James returns to Real Madrid this summer after a two-year loan from FC Bayern Munich. Recently, the Bavarians had announced that they did not want to draw their purchase option for the 27-year-old.

At Real Madrid, James is apparently also on the strike list; besides Juventus, Italy’s runner-up SSC Naples is supposed to show interest in the Colombian.
