Serie A: Juve means De Ligt welcome: "I'm happy to be here."

Dutch national player Matthijs de Ligt (19) is about to make the final move from Ajax Amsterdam to Italian series champion Juventus Turin.

Late Tuesday evening Juve posted a video on social networks of the 15-time national player’s arrival at Turin Caselle airport on a private jet.

“Hello, Bianconeri. I’m happy to be here,” de Ligt said in a short video spread by the club of five-time world footballer Cristiano Ronaldo. Juventus initially made no further statements, but it is to be expected that de Ligt will only have to complete formalities such as the medical check.

The transfer fee for the youngest captain in the history of the Dutch record champion is expected to be around 75 million euros. De Ligt is to receive a contract until 2024 with the Bianconeri, where he will meet 2014 world champion Sami Khedira.
