Sami Khedira (32) seems to have good cards to continue playing for the Italian record champion Juventus Turin. The Gazzetta dello Sport reported this and wrote that coach Maurizio Sarri had spoken out in favour of the defensive midfielder staying.
Most recently, Khedira scored the only goal for the old lady in a 2-1 draw with Atletico Madrid in Stockholm. Juve would have liked to have saved Khedira’s annual salary of an estimated six million euros in the new season, but Sarri insists that the world champion remain, according to the Gazzetta.
Wolverhampton Wanderers and FC Arsenal have been courting the midfielder, who has been in Turin since 2015 and still has a two-year contract, over the last few weeks, but the negotiations have not materialised. Khedira wore the Juve jersey 127 times and scored 21 goals.
