Fiorentina have officially announced that striker Federico Chiesa will continue to play for the Italian Serie A club next season. “The current owner would like to make it clear that Federico is a Fiorentina player with a long contract with the club,” the Fiorentina said in a statement on the club’s website.
In the past weeks Chiesa had been associated with numerous top clubs. It is said that Juventus, Bayern Munich, Chelsea and Napoli, among others, will be next in line for the 21-year-old. “As far as we’re concerned, Chiesa will be playing in Florence next season. He will be the flagship of the team we are building,” the club wrote.
Chiesa is flexible in the offensive and has already made eleven international matches for Italy. The market value of the son of the former national striker Enrico Chiesa is estimated at around 70 million euros.
In the past Serie A season, Chiesa scored six goals and seven templates in 37 games.
