Serie A: Farewell to Juve? Dybala speaks plain language

Offensive star Paulo Dybala has expressed a clear desire to play at Juventus Turin next season, denying rumours of a possible farewell to the Italian champion.

“I want to stay with Juventus and play here next year,” said Dybala at Sky Sport. The Argentinean’s brother, Gustavo Dybala, had fueled continuing speculation about bills of exchange by saying his brother needed a change of scenery and could leave Juve.

Dybala now said about his brother’s remarks: “He only spoke for himself. I talked to the club and sports director Fabio Paratici and they know how I think.”

The 25-year-old was by no means seeded, especially in the second half of last season under outgoing coach Massimiliano Allegri, for example in the second leg of the Champions League round of 16 against Atletico Madrid and in the quarter-final first leg against Ajax.

Media reports about a change of Dybala, whose future still seems to lie with Juve, therefore germinated again and again. His contract in Turin runs until 2022.
