According to information from Goal and SOCCERSCORE, negotiations between Inter Milan and coach Antonio Conte are on the home stretch. The coach has signalled to the Nerazzurri in recent hours that he wants to succeed Luciano Spallettis next season.
Conte has been without a job since he left Chelsea FC last summer. He will now sign a multi-year contract with Inter, which will earn him a salary of ten million euros per season.
The talks between the Inter bosses around Giuseppe Marotta and the former Juve trainer have been going on for weeks. And although the course was positive, there were doubts about an engagement Contes with the Nerazzurri.
The reason for this was Massimiliano Allegri’s farewell to record champion Juventus. Speculation about a return Contes to his former employer shot into the herb. According to information from Goal and SPOX, however, this topic was never really hot.
Inter Milan are fourth in Serie A before the final matchday of the season and are still fighting with Atalanta, Milan and Roma for a place in the Champions League.
