Midfielder Daniele De Rossi has apparently decided to end his active career after his departure from Italian first division team AS Rome in May.
Sky Sport Italia reports that the 35-year-old will hang up his football boots to concentrate on a career as a coach. Previously this had already Il Tempo reported.
After his end with the Roma, De Rossi had been associated with a move to the MLS or to Argentina with the Boca Juniors.
Even a stay in the series A was not excluded in the end. AC Florence in particular was hoping to sign De Rossi.
The routine was under contract with the Roma between 2000 and 2019. In 2006 he became world champion with the Italian national team in Germany.
