Serie A: Consultant: Inter must accommodate Lukaku

According to his adviser Federico Pastorello, Inter Milan will have to work harder to get striker Romelu Lukaku off Manchester United. The agent told media representatives, including FCInterNews, at the Milanese training grounds: “If a player wants to be signed, the club must accommodate him.”

Pastorello met again on Wednesday with the Italians, but so far there have been no new developments. At the moment, according to the consultant, a lot still depends on the club. “We certainly don’t decide when,” explained Pastorello.

The reported transfer fee for Lukaku is around 70 million euros. Finally, the Milanese tried to push this amount down by throwing a two-year loan with a subsequent purchase option or obligation into the room.

However, the Belgian’s advisor did not want to know anything about the transfer sums. “I’ve never mentioned numbers, so I don’t know if those are the numbers they have in mind. You would have to ask Inter,” Pastorello said, adding, “Lukaku is certainly the transfer goal set, but setting a goal does not necessarily mean achieving it.”

Only in 2017 did Lukaku move from Everton to Manchester United for almost 85 million euros. There, however, after only two years, he is apparently about to leave. In the past season, the attacker scored 15 goals in 45 games for the Red Devils.
