According to information from Goal and SOCCERSCORE, Champions League winners FC Liverpool and Italian top club AS Rome are currently negotiating a transfer of defender Dejan Lovren.
The possible replacement for the Croatian vice-world champion should be around 16 million euros.
Lovren is only number four in Liverpool’s central defence alongside Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Joel Matip, and will therefore be aiming for an exit this summer, with the 30-year-old looking forward to a transfer to Italy. The club management has already assured him that he will be allowed to leave the club if a suitable offer is made.
Lovren, who moved from Southampton FC to Anfield Road in 2014 for more than 20 million euros, is said to have been courted by Serie A rivals Napoli and AC Milan a few weeks ago. Milan’s interest has not yet expired.
According to various reports, the Roma, for their part, also have Skhkodran Mustafi of FC Arsenal in their sights as a replacement for Kostas Manolas, who emigrated to Naples.
