Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane has commented on the disregard for his attacker Gareth Bale in the league game against FC Villarreal.
“I’m the coach and I have to put together a squad list,” the Frenchman said after the royals’ 3-2 success on Sunday. “That’s not a clue. They can interpret what they want. I have to make a squad list and one has to stay out.”
In recent months, Bale has repeatedly been associated with a departure from the Spanish capital. The Welsh is supposed to fancy a return to the Premier League.
This season, the 29-year-old, whose contract with the Blancos runs until 2022, will have 42 races across all competitions. He scored 14 goals and contributed six templates.
