Six-time world footballer Lionel Messi had to suspend team training at Spanish first division club FC Barcelona on Friday due to injury. According to the club, the Argentinian superstar is suffering from “a minor injury to his right thigh and has been training in isolation.” His performance in the first league game after the corona break is said to be safe.
Looking ahead to the upcoming restart of the Primera Division, Messi completed “specific exercises to avoid unnecessary risks. He should be able to return to his team mates in a few days”. To kick off the restart, the Primera Division leaders will meet Real Mallorca on 13 June.
