Benfica Lisbon may be on the verge of signing Real Madrid striker Raul de Tomas. As the Marca reports, Benfica President Luis Filipe Vieira visited the Spanish capital on Monday to finalise the deal.
De Tomas, who played on loan for Rayo Vallecano last season and scored 14 goals in the league, will have to pay the Portuguese at least 20 million euros. However, the original redemption demand of 35 million euros could probably be slightly reduced.
The 24-year-old De Tomas went through all the youth teams of the royals, but was never able to assert himself in the first team. His current contract with Real Madrid dates back to 2023.
