Primera Division: Real qualified for CL despite bankruptcy

Spanish record champions Real Madrid have qualified for the Champions League despite another weak performance.

The team around former World Champion Toni Kroos lost 0:1 (0:1) to the relegation-threatened host Rayo Vallecano, who moved up to the penultimate place in the table.

However, with Rival’s rivals FC Sevilla (1-0 at FC Girona) and FC Getafe (2-1 at Real Sociedad San Sebastian) also failing, the Madrilenians were already qualified for the premier class before the kick-off.

With three games remaining, both Getafe (4th) and Sevilla (5th) are ten points behind Real. Already on Saturday FC Barcelona and the German national goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen had made their 26th championship title perfect.
