World champion Antoine Griezmann spoke about possible differences with Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez during his official presentation at FC Barcelona. He wants to put an end to possible reservations about his commitment with assists for the two superstars.
When asked whether Messi and Suarez were annoyed by the transfer, Griezmann replied: “Maybe, I’ll see that when I meet them. But I’m sure I can do anything well with templates.”
Griezmann himself is in any case looking forward to the interaction with Messi, whom he considers to be the “LeBron James of football”: “I am very happy to be able to stand on the grass with him. Messi will also remain a legend for my sons and grandchildren.”
Although the 120-million-euro transfer did not take place without background noise, the 28-year-old stressed that the decision to leave Atletico was “difficult” for him and that he had “nothing but admiration and respect” for his ex-club.
“It is always difficult to leave a place where we felt very comfortable with friends and family,” Griezmann continued.
