Controversial Barca newcomer embarrasses himself at introduction

Bankruptcies, bad luck and breakdowns of the 18 million man: During his introduction at his new employer FC Barcelona, newcomer Martin Braithwaite really made a fool of himself.

In Barcelona, the presentation of newcomers is traditionally a big event. In addition to photos in the new employer’s jersey, the newcomer is allowed to show what he can do with numerous tricks on the ball. Heel tricks, juggling and balancing are usually on the agenda. For a professional from FC Barcelona this is usually no problem.

But Braithwaite obviously lost all his footballing skills under the eyes of the photographers. Many of the tricks he attempted failed the 28-year-old thoroughly, which promptly caused scorn and ridicule in the social media.
