Now Barca’s sports director Éric Abidal commented on the current state of negotiations. “As far as we know, the Bavarians are very happy with Philippe and he is also very happy there,” the Frenchman explained in an interview with “Mundo Deportivo”.
Abidal, who has been in office with the Catalans for around a year and a half, added: “We have to make our best planning with the players who are there and those who are loaned out. Then we’ll see.”
Recently, Spanish media reported that the purchase price could be significantly lower than originally negotiated. According to the media, the Barca managers have come to the conclusion that neither FC Bayern nor any other club will be prepared to pay the 120 million euros for the playmaker.
