Champions League winner Real Madrid has apparently signed the next record supplier contract. As the club-related sports daily Marca reported on Saturday, the royals are guaranteed to collect 120 million euros per season from the German sporting goods manufacturer adidas from 1 July to 2031.
With performance-related bonuses, the Spanish soccer record champion should be able to collect a total of 1.6 billion euros over the next twelve years.
Real’s previous contract with the Herzogenaurach-based company was the one with the highest endowment of any football club to date.
It ran until 2030 and guaranteed the club of 2014 world champion Toni Kroo’s estimates of around 110 million euros annually.
Real’s arch-rival FC Barcelona, the world’s number two, will collect 87 million euros per annum from adidas rival Nike, while Germany’s record champion Bayern Munich is said to collect 60 million euros per annum from adidas.
