United to bid for Lyon snapshots

According to Goal and SOCCERSCORE, Manchester United is interested in Moussa Dembele of Olympique Lyon. An initial offer for the attacker has also already been made.

This amounts to around 40 million euros. While Olympique qualified third for the Champions League, United finished the season in sixth place and can only offer the Frenchman European League football. Dembeles’ contract also runs until 2021, putting Lyon in a good negotiating position.

Dembele moved to Ligue 1 before Celtic’s season and scored 23 goals across the competition in his debut season. Other English clubs will also be interested in the 22-year-old.

The Red Devils have been following Dembele intensively since his youth, club ambassador Eric Cantona is campaigning for a commitment from his compatriot.
