Midfielder Ander Herrera will leave Manchester United at the end of the season and will not renew his contract. This was announced by the Red Devils on Saturday morning in a message on Twitter.
According to English media reports, the 29-year-old Spaniard demanded an annual salary of around twelve million euros, which United-Boss Ed Woodward rejected.
Instead, Herrera is likely to sign a lucrative contract with the French champion Paris Saint-Germain, which will run for four or five years.
Herrera switched from Athletic Club to Old Trafford in the summer of 2014 for around 36 million euros. With Manchester United he won both the FA Cup 2016 and the Europa League 2017.
