English champions Manchester City have been fined by FIFA for violations of international transfers and the registration of underage players.
As announced by the FIFA Disciplinary Committee on Tuesday, the citizens must pay a fine of 370,000 francs (about 340,000 euros). Team manager Pep Guardiola’s club thus escaped a transfer ban.
FIFA emphasised in its statement that Manchester City had “accepted its responsibility” and took this into account.
