Sturridge desperate: Dog was kidnapped

The former English national player Daniel Sturridge is very worried about his dog. The rare dwarf spitz husky mix seems to have been kidnapped during a break-in into his house in Los Angeles.

The 29-year-old is currently in California following his departure from Champions League winners FC Liverpool.

Via Instagram Sturridge searches for the four-legged friend. “Bring the dog back! I’ll pay for everything,” says the striker in a video. In the night from Monday to Tuesday the burglars are said to have stolen not only the dog but also four bags.

A video taken by a surveillance camera shows three men wearing hoods.

“We can only kidnap a dog,” asks a stunned Sturridge, who is still looking for a new club.
