Sane replacement? City’s probably on Spaniards.

Manchester City has apparently considered a replacement for Leroy Sane in Mikel Oyarzabal of Real Sociedad. The reports from Spain indicate that there will soon be movement in the personnel.

As the AS reports, ManCity wants to draw the 75 million euro exit clause in Oyarzabals contract. The 22-year-old winged player from the Basque Country is therefore intended as a replacement for Sane, who is currently the ideal player for FC Bayern.

The citizens are said to have already made contact with the Spaniard’s environment, which is why Real Sociedad expects movement in the next few days. Club President Jokin Aperribay is said to have already scheduled a meeting with Oyarzabal’s father to clarify the situation.

Such an expensive transfer would probably only be possible for City, not least because of the financial fair play principles of UEFA, should a player be sold at a high price. With Oyarzabal and Sane both on the left wing, there is much to suggest that their transfer to FC Bayern could soon be underway.

Manchester City, it should be noted, has only until 8 August the possibility to engage players. Accordingly, the English will certainly want clarity on the Sane case by then. FC Bayern and Real Sociedad, on the other hand, will be able to recruit new players until September.

Meanwhile, the Catalan SPORT reports that Manchester City has made representations to FC Barcelona over legal defender Nelson Semedo. The Portuguese, however, was not for sale, which is why Barcelona had referred to the fixed withdrawal clause of 100 million euros.

Barca is said to have already rejected an offer by Atletico Madrid for Semedo this summer. The player is highly appreciated by coach Ernesto Valverde and will soon be offered an extension until 2022.
