Manchester City has extended its contract with Kyle Walker for another two years. This was announced by coach Pep Guardiola’s club on Wednesday afternoon.

The right-back will thus remain with ManCity until 2024, where he moved from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer of 2017 for around 52 million euros.

“That was an easy decision”, Walker is quoted on the Citizens homepage: “I want to play for trophies and at the highest level. I’ve evolved a lot as a player here.”

Last season, Walker played 52 competitive games for the Citizens, was a key defensive player in Pep Guardiola’s system and also contributed offensively to defending the Premier League title with two goals and one goal.
