The online giant Amazon has secured further broadcasting rights to a total of eleven matches in the German Bundesliga by the end of the season. On request, the company announced that seven point games and four relegation matches will be shown on Amazon Prime Video. “Our customers were delighted with the video quality and the focus on the action. This encourages us to continue our broadcasts,” said Alexander Green, Managing Director Sports at Prime Video.
Already on Wednesday Amazon will stream the match between RB Leipzig and Hertha BSC. “We are pleased to broadcast further Bundesliga matches after the extremely positive feedback,” Green continued. The debut, which was also disrupted by some technical problems due to the short preparation time, was given by Amazon on 18 May with the game between Werder Bremen and Bayer Leverkusen.
