The City Football Group (CFG) announced on Thursday that it now owns the majority of France’s second division ES Troyes AC. Founded in 1986 in the northeast of France, the club is already the tenth club in the portfolio of the owner company from the United Arab Emirates. CFG boss Ferran Soriano stated with pleasure that they now have a “permanent presence” in France and spoke (again) of a “milestone” in the communication. It was not until May that CFG bought the Belgian second division Lommel SK. It also holds a majority stake in New York City FC from MLS, Melbourne City from Australia’s A-League, FC Girona from Spain’s 2nd League, Yokohama F. Marinos in Japan, Sichuan Jiuniu in China, Club Atletico Torque in Uruguay and Indian FC Mumbai City. There is also a cooperation agreement with the Venezuelan Club Atletico Venezuela.
