Former World Champion Thomas Müller of FC Bayern compared coach Hansi Flick with Pep Guardiola. The Munich game is regulated as clearly as under the Spanish Success Coach.
“While each player was allowed to add an individual note to his position due to his preferences, strengths and weaknesses, this position always had a clear task. There was no “could”,”should” or “wanted”. And if someone did not do what was required, someone else quickly filled in the position,” Müller said in an interview with the Süddeutsche Zeitung.
Flick’s predecessor Niko Kovac, under whom Müller had only been a substitute, did not want to comment, but said: “For me, my career results were always relatively explainable.”
