In the coming season, FC Bayern, as of now, has five goalkeepers under contract who are fighting for their place in the squad. This is another reason why the future of substitute keeper Christian Früchtl is uncertain. He is said to have at least refused a move to top club FC Liverpool.
As “Sport1” reports, the Reds contacted the goalkeeper talent by phone last December to prepare a possible transfer.
According to this, Liverpool offered the 20-year-old the prospect of becoming the new number two behind world goalkeeper Alisson Becker this summer. It is not known whether the club around team manager Jürgen Klopp has thought of a loan or a firm commitment.
