Marko Arnautovic: Sebastien Haller to take over from West Ham

Published on

West Ham United has decided on a successor for Marko Arnautovic, who moved to Shanghai SIPG in China. Frenchman Sebastien Haller will move to the English Premier League subject to a medical check from Eintracht Frankfurt.

The two clubs had agreed on the transfer modalities, the Frankfurters announced on Tuesday on Twitter.

According to media reports, Haller will cost about 40 million euros. The transfer sum for Arnautovic last week amounted to 25 million euros. Haller’s contract in Frankfurt would run until June 30, 2021.

Haller had scored 15 goals in the German Bundesliga and another five in the Europa League last season. After Luka Jovic, who moved to Real Madrid for around 60 million euros, the 25-year-old would already be the second notable attacker to leave head coach Adi Hütter’s club this summer.
