English record champions Manchester United have secured the services of Monaco’s top talent Hannibal Mejbri. The club announced this on its homepage on Sunday.
United have reached an agreement with Monaco on a change of Hannibal Mejbri, subject to FIFA approval,” the Red Devils write in the press release.
According to media reports, ManUnited is to transfer about ten million euros for the 16-year-old Frenchman with Tunisian roots.
In Manchester, Mejbri, who is active for the French U16 national team, will initially play in the youth teams.
In February there were also rumours about a possible interest of FC Bayern in the central midfielder. Even then, the teenager’s father indicated that his son wanted to leave Monaco.
